Greetings from South Carolina,

Connie,
I hope that this is where I can leave a comment regarding your lesson.
Your lesson looks great with lots of detail and a large variety of resources and materials. Your choice of giving your students three options for their final project gives students the opportunity to produce a product in a form that they can excel. You also make good use of probing and open ended questioning. The race car topic I am sure will generate a great deal of interest and engagement from your students.

Hello Connie, I think it is a good idea to have a class page which contains links, videos, and other district approved sites for project information. This should help to keep students organized! Your plan to evaluate students while they are present will give you the opportunity to ask them any question regarding their assignments and result in a more accurate evaluation process.

Hi Connie, Everything looks good to me. I really can not think of any ways to improve upon it, but then I am no PBL expert. Mike
Connie, I think it is great that you have set up Skype for your students to have a conversation with an expert. They will get a kick out of this experience. It will show them that they have multiple ways to get information and going to an expert is a valuable one. I was also wondering if you are thinking about adding a rubric for your lesson plan so that your students will have an understanding of the activities expectations and also act as a guide for them. Dolores Dolores, Thank you for your rubric suggestions. I thought I had added the rubric already.
Connie,
I love your lesson and I like how you use sketchcast and voicethread into your lesson. I would like to play around with sketchcast to see if I can make some tutorials up for my DDP (Design and Drawing for Production) class. When I do demonstrations I usually have about 20 students around my drafting table and some may not be able to get a good look at what I am demonstrating. If I could put it online then students could also use that as a reference guide for their drawings since it can be very technical. Thank you for introducing this to me!
